LINCOLN — Nebraska basketball coach Tim Miles and Athletic Director Bill Moos got together Tuesday afternoon for what both described as “a standard end-of-the-season review.’’
“It was a good meeting,’’ Miles said, declining to discuss specifics. “It was a chance for Bill and me to get to know each other better and to spend some real time together, really for the first time.’’
Moos, hired in October, said in a January interview with The World-Herald that he had been so immersed in hiring Scott Frost as football coach at Nebraska that he hadn’t had much time to study men’s basketball.
Moos, through a spokesman Tuesday, said he would be happy to discuss the program after more chances to meet with Miles.
The sixth-year coach, 97-97 with one NCAA and one NIT trip, has two years left on his current contract. Miles, coming off a 22-11 season with a 13-5 Big Ten record, said he looks forward to more meetings with Moos in the coming weeks.
