Nebraska’s reward for weekend sweep is climb to No. 4 in AVCA ratings

Nebraska has moved up to No. 4 in the latest AVCA ratings behind five straight wins and an 11-1 record over its last 12 matches.

The Huskers (11-3) were No. 8 a week ago, but jumped ahead of Minnesota and Wisconsin after beating both Big Ten opponents at home over the weekend.

Florida (11-0) remains atop the AVCA Top 25 with 60 of the 64 first-place votes, followed by Stanford and Penn State. Nebraska is the only team to beat Penn State so far this season.

After NU comes Texas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, BYU, Washington and Kentucky. Creighton (11-4) advanced two spots to No. 12.

Nebraska next plays host to Michigan State on Wednesday night at the Devaney Center.
