Nebraska track and field tunes up at Prairie Wolf Invitational

LINCOLN — Nebraska started a busy weekend by winning four events Friday during the Prairie Wolf Invitational at the Devaney Center.

Senior Mike McCann, participating unattached, won the high jump by clearing 6-9 in his first action of the season. Senior Candice Dominguez Fields, also competing unattached in the high jump, won the women’s title with a 5-6.

Raynesha Lewis won the 60-meter hurdles in 8.82. The men’s unattached 1,600-meter relay of Bryce Barrett, Zach Podraza, Vincent Ohlman and Cody Mrozcek won in 3:20.79. Ohlman was also second in the 60-meter hurdles at 8.30.

The Huskers host the Mark Colligan Memorial on Saturday. The meet will include NU, Houston, Illinois and Kansas.
