Nebraska track and field shut out on second day of NCAA championships

EUGENE, Ore. — Nebraska didn’t have anyone placeNeither of Nebraska’s two women’s qualifiers placed during the second day of the NCAA track and field championships Thursday.

For the NU women, Brittni Wolczyk finished 17th in the javelin with a throw of 158-9, while Raynesha Lewis was 19th in the long jump at 19-11.In the men’s hammer, Nick Percy placed 23rd with a throw of 202-5.

The men’s 1,600-meter relay ran a 3:05.43 but placed 10th and didn’t qualify for the final, while Moujtaba Mohammed was 24th in the 800.

Georgia leads in the men’s team standings by 16 points, while Stanford leads the women’s standings. The meet continues Friday.
