Nebraska Tennis Coach Recognized as One of the Winningest All Time

Nebraska Head Coach Scott Jacobson was recognized as one of the winningest  Division I women’s tennis coaches of all-time in August, when the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its list of the sport’s all-time and active wins leaders.

Jacobson has posted a 428-261 record in his Nebraska career. His 428 wins rank 34th in the history of NCAA Division I women’s tennis. Jacobson’s 428 wins also rank 16th among active Division I coaches, making him one of the nation’s top 20 coaches in terms of career victories.

During his tenure as Husker coach, Jacobson’s teams have posted the top seven season win totals in Nebraska history, including four straight 20-win seasons from 2010 to 2013. Jacobson’s Huskers have ended the season nationally ranked in 17 of the last 24 seasons, dating back to 1997. He has guided Nebraska to six NCAA Tournaments – all since 2005 – including a Sweet 16 appearance in 2013.
