Nebraska Men’s Basketball Delays Season Ticket Renewals

The Nebraska Athletic Department has announced that they are delaying season ticket renewals for Nebraska men’s basketball for the upcoming 202-2021 season.  In an e-mail sent to ticket holders on Tuesday, the athletic department said “Due to the ever-changing nature of the sports landscape, we have delayed season ticket renewals for the 2020-2021 men’s basketball season until further notice.”  The Huskers are scheduled to tip off the men’s basketball season on November 10th against Cleveland State with a November 2nd exhibition game scheduled against Peru State.

There is growing concern that the college men’s basketball season will not begin on time because of the coronavirus pandemic.  Some sources indicate that there is talk that the start of the season could be moved to start after the new year with a conference only schedule.

Practices with coaches on the floor can begin next week.  The Huskers have 10 of its 13 scholarship players on campus.  The three players not on campus yet are Thorir Thorbjarnarson, Yvan Ouedrago, and Shamiel Stevenson.  Stevenson is expected to be on campus for practice by the end of the month.  Ouedrago and Thorbjarnarson are currently overseas and are still unable to return to the United States because of travel restrictions.
