Nebraska Men’s Basketball Adds 7 Footer

According to the Omaha World Herald, Nebraska men’s basketball will have another European big man in the program.  Nebraska on Monday added Lithuanian 7-footer Oleg Kojenets.  Kojenets played stateside recently at Western Reserve Academy outside Cleveland and starred in 2019 for the U-16 FIBA European Championships.  He was ranked among the top 100 recruits for the 2021 class by 247Sports before the pandemic shutdown.  The addition means Nebraska will have four big men for the upcoming season.  Fifth year player Derrick Walker is projected to be the starter, second year center Eduardo Andre made big strides this past season, and Nebraska will welcome 6’9″ 210 pound forward Wilhelm Breidenbach.
