Nebraska bowling ends season with NCAA semifinal loss to McKendree

ST. LOUIS — Nebraska was eliminated from the NCAA tournament Friday after falling 2-0 to McKendree in a semifinal match.

McKendree opened with a 1,047-982 victory in the traditional match. Raquel Orozco led the Huskers with a score of 218, followed by Julia Bond with her score of 203.

The Huskers then lost 1,115-1,004 in the five-game Baker format match. Nebraska posted scores over 200 in three of the five games, but McKendree scored over 200 in four games, including a 277 in the second game.

The Huskers opened the day with a 2-0 win over North Carolina A&T in an elimination match.
