SAN DIEGO — Nebraska beat San Diego Mesa and West Valley College — both by 4-1 scores — Sunday to cap its three-day trip with six straight wins. The Huskers improved to 7-1 on the year.
NU’s No. 1 pair of Nicklin Hames and Lauren Stivrins won both matches Sunday to go 7-0 on the weekend and moved to 8-0 overall. Hayley Densberger and Anezka Szabo at No. 4 and Megan Miller and Callie Schwarzenbach at No. 5 also swept Sunday’s matches.
For the weekend, the Huskers won 28 of 35 pairs. Next up, Nebraska hosts Ottawa on Friday and Saturday at the Hawks Center.
