Kobe Webster to Return to Nebraska Next Season

Kobe Webster, one of two Nebraska seniors, announced that he will be returning to the Nebraska men’s basketball program for an extra season.  Webster, who graduated from Western Illinois and then played his fourth season at Nebraska, receives an extra year of eligibility as a result of the NCAA’s coronavirus policy.  Webster’s scholarship will not count against the 13 man total.

Webster announced his decision Tuesday night with a Twitter video that showed him driving through Lincoln and arriving at the apartment door of teammate Trey McGowens saying “I’m back”.

Webster started the last five games of the season for the Big Red and averaged 12.8 points per game over the last six games connecting on 43% of his three point attempts during that stretch.  Webster’s return is viewed as a key piece for the Nebraska 2021-22 team.
