Huskers Sit Just Outside Top 25 in USA Today Coaches Poll

The USA Today college football coaches preseason poll was released Thursday (8/1) and Nebraska sits just outside the top 25.
Nebraska had the 26th most points in the poll and finished just nine points behind Big Ten rival Northwestern for the #25 spot.
Seven Big Ten teams — including three from the West division — made the top 25, more than any other league. The highest ranked Big Ten team is Ohio State who is ranked #5. Clemson, Alabama, Georgia and Oklahoma, respectively, make up the top four.
Michigan is ranked #7, Penn State #14, Wisconsin #17, Iowa #19, Michigan State #20. Minnesota received a single vote for the poll.
