LINCOLN — Nebraska will be joined by Texas Tech, USC and Missouri State next November for the championship rounds of the 2018 Hall of Fame Classic, the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced Tuesday.

The Hall of Fame Classic is scheduled for Nov. 19-20 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. It is the culminating event of college basketball’s Hall of Fame weekend.

Creighton played in the Hall of Fame Classic last November, with a field including UCLA, Wisconsin and Baylor.

“Our program is excited to play in the 2018 Hall of Fame Classic,” Nebraska coach Tim Miles said in an NABC release. “When building our non-conference schedule, we look for opportunities to play high-quality games, as well as provide a great experience for our team. With USC, Texas Tech and Missouri State in the 2018 field, the Hall of Fame Classic will provide us an important early-season test.

“Many of our fans remember annually going to Kansas City for the (Big Eight/Big 12) conference tournament, and the Hall of Fame Classic gives our fans a chance to enjoy a great city and cheer on the Huskers in an outstanding tournament close to home.”

Select tickets for the championship-round games at Sprint Center are on sale through the end of March at www.axs.com and www.halloffameweekend.com, or by calling 1-888-929-7849. Additional tickets will be available beginning Aug. 4 via the same ticket outlets, including at the Sprint Center box office.

Nebraska currently is 22-10, including a fourth-place finish in the Big Ten at 13-5, as it awaits its postseason assignment. Of the Huskers’ top eight scorers, only two are seniors.

Among the other 2018 Hall of Fame Classic teams, Texas Tech will be getting an NCAA bid when the 68-team tournament field is announced Sunday, and USC is considered a bubble team with NU.

The complete bracket, including matchups and television times for the 2018 Hall of Fame Classic, will be announced at a later date. More information on the event can be found at www.halloffameweekend.com.
