Huskers fall again to Northwestern

LINCOLN — Two errors by Nebraska on Saturday led to five Northwestern runs as the No. 25-ranked Wildcats earned an 8-2 Big Ten Conference softball victory.

Nebraska left eight runners on base, including three in the first inning at Bowlin Stadium. The 13-21 Huskers, who are 3-15 in their past 18 games, had the bases loaded with one out but couldn’t push a run across.

The Wildcats, 8-0 in the Big Ten, go for the series sweep in Sunday’s noon finale.
