Huskers climb all-time football wins chart after Notre Dame forced to vacate victories

It didn’t take Scott Frost long to move Nebraska up the all-time wins chart.

He didn’t even have to coach a game.

After Notre Dame was forced to vacate 21 wins due to a violation of ethical conduct by a former student athletic trainer, NU jumped the Irish on the list of blueblood college football programs.

The Huskers’ 893 wins are good for fourth all time among FBS programs, behind Michigan (943), Ohio State (898) and Texas (898). Alabama follows Nebraska with 891 victories, while Notre Dame (885) fell to sixth.

Oklahoma (884), Penn State (878), USC (834) and Tennessee (833) round out the top 10.

Nebraska could reach the 900-win mark in 2018.
