Husker volleyball ranks No. 2 in NCAA Selection Committee’s first top 10

Nebraska volleyball earned the No. 2 spot in the NCAA Volleyball Selection Committee initial top 10 for the 2017 season released on Wednesday night.

The Huskers are joined by three teams from the Big Ten — Penn State at No. 1, Minnesota at No. 3 and Wisconsin at No. 10.

NU remained No. 7 in the AVCA Top 25 with no movement above it in the poll. The Huskers (18-4, 11-1 Big Ten) have won five straight heading into weekend home matches with Purdue and Indiana.

The selection show is Nov. 26 with first round matches starting on Nov. 30. The National Championship weekend will be held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City with the semifinals on Dec. 14 and the national championship on Dec. 16.
