Senior Zeke Moisey (125) earned an at-large bid.

The NCAA announced the 330 qualifiers for the tournament Tuesday. The tournament will take place March 21-23 in Pittsburgh.

York grad and Nebraska high jumper Mayson Conner named Big Ten freshman of the year

Nebraska high jumper Mayson Conner was named the Big Ten men’s indoor track and field freshman of the year Tuesday.

Conner, a York graduate from McCool Junction, Nebraska, was chosen after a vote by the league’s head coaches. He is NU’s first track and field freshman of the year since the school joined the Big Ten in 2011.

Conner was the Big Ten champion in the high jump and earned first-team All-America honors by finishing seventh at the NCAA indoor championships last weekend. He cleared 7 feet, 3¾ inches at both meets, tied for the ninth-best mark in school history.
