Husker men’s track earns win at Air Force Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Nebraska track and field won 13 events Saturday to wrap up the Air Force Invitational, with the Husker men finishing first and the women claiming second.

The Huskers swept two events, with Kierra Griggs (54.38 seconds) and Sam Bransby (48.33) claiming the 400 meters, and Lakayla Harris (24.01) and Andy Neal (21.26) winning the 200.

Ty Moss added a win in the 800 at 1:54.54. The Huskers also took first and second in the men’s 60 hurdles behind Antoine Lloyd (7.81) and Luke Siedhoff (7.91).

In the feld, Grant Anderson cleared 6 feet, 11 inches to win the men’s high jump, and Petra Luteran recorded the second-best high jump mark in the nation at 6-0¾ to finish as the top collegian.

The men finished with 161 points, while the women finished at 99, just 1.5 behind Long Beach State.

Nebraska returns home for the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational next weekend.
