Coach Frost Excited for Season Opener

Nebraska head coach Scott Frost met with members of the media following Thursday’s practice. Frost spoke on the players that were chosen to travel with the team and the excitement surrounding the first game.

“There is a lot of guys that deserve to travel,” Frost said.  “A lot of guys that could contribute, we are a little limited but I know the guys we are taking will be ready to play.”

He was asked about his thoughts on playing in front of a large crowd after limited fans last season.

“College football is a better game when the fans are involved,” he said. “There is more passion in college football than any other sport in my opinion. We missed our fans, hope there is a lot of Nebraska fans in the stadium on Saturday. That is part of the experience that you love. I can not wait to get on the field with this group of kids, this is far and away my favorite group of kids I have been around since I have been here”

Frost explained why this team has been his favorite to be around.

“This group does things the right way, has the right attitude and they have been working hard to get ready for Saturday.”

Nebraska will play its first game of the season this Saturday, Aug. 28 at Noon.  The game will be broadcast on KBBN 95.3 FM with coverage on the Huskers Radio Network beginning at 10 a.m.
