Bill Moos Praises Nebraska Baseball Team and Talks Football Trip to Dublin

Nebraska Athletic Director Bill Moos joined Greg Sharpe on the Sports Nightly program Tuesday.  Sports Nightly airs on KCNI M-F at 6 p.m.  Moos opened his monthly visit with a salute to the Nebraska baseball team which clinched the Big Ten regular season championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament this past weekend.

Nebraska announced recently that it will play its 2022 college football opener in Dublin, Ireland against Northwestern.  Nebraska was originally scheduled to play Illinois in Dublin to begin the 2021 season but the game was moved back to the states and will now be played on Illinois’ home field.  Moos said that he really wanted to make the trip to Dublin happen.

Among other topics addressed during the show, when asked about the potential of alcohol sales at Memorial Stadium Moos said, “I don’t rule (alcohol sales) out, but it’s not front and center as we speak right now.”  Moos visited about Nebraska moving its multimedia rights to in house.  The AD said that the move benefits the school in many ways including financially.  He did say that fans may not notice a big difference though as many of the broadcast voices and shows will remain the same.
