Winter Storm Blasts Nebraska

NEBRASKA – The second major snow storm in two weeks is blanketing much of the state today. Cities all across the state are reporting low visibility conditions with heavy snow, and ice covering the roads.

The Nebraska State Patrol is reporting dozens of accidents across Interstate 80 with portions of it closed down near North Platte.

Officials are urging motorists to stay inside today and not risk driving in these conditions.

The snow is expected keep falling throughout the state well into the night tonight, and most of the state can expect around 4-5 inches of snow this afternoon.
