Vice President Pence visits Nebraska to see flooding

NEBRASKA (News Channel Nebraska) – Vice President Mike Pence travels to Nebraska today (Tuesday) to get a first-hand view of the dangerous flooding.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders made the announcement via Twitter.

Pence will make the rounds with Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.

A White House news release says he will arrive in Omaha at 4 PM and depart for DC at 7 PM.

There are more than 130 emergency declarations for Nebraska’s cities and counties.

The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency says this flood has already cost the state more than $205 million.

The flooding in Nebraska and Iowa is being blamed for at least four deaths.
