UNK Pride of the Plains band marches in Ireland St. Patrick’s Day

LIMERICK, IRELAND (University of Nebraska Kearney) – The University of Nebraska Kearney’s Pride of the Plains Marching Band performed Monday in the International Band Parade in Limerick, Ireland.

The band also marched Sunday in the annual Saint Patrick’s Day Parade in the capital city of Dublin, which follows a 1.5-mile route from Parnell Square to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral and draws around half a million spectators.

The 42 members who made the trip will return to Kearney on Friday.

UNK’s marching band takes an overseas trip every four years, most recently to Norway in 2015.
