LINCOLN, NE — Police say two people are dead after a shooting in Lincoln.
A Lincoln Police Department spokesman says officers responded to the 1100 block of Geranium Drive in north Lincoln for a report of a gunshot wound just after 5:00 p.m. Thursday. A 35-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man were both found dead with apparent gunshot wounds.
Police say five children from the home were found safe at a nearby neighbor’s house.
Investigators from the LPD Criminal Investigation Unit and Crime Scene Technicians are in the preliminary stages of the investigation. There is no ongoing threat to the public’s safety.
