FAIRBURY - 500 seats were added to the Jefferson County Speedway this year, and for Tuesday Night Thunder, they needed every one of them...and more. Fans lined the fence along the 1/5 mile clay track in Fairbury on Tuesday night to watch the best compete for the USAC Midgets National Championship. The races featured drivers of all ages, including 10-year-old, Jadyn Friesen. "Just going out and having fun." His mother, Crystal, was also on hand to watch the night's races. Her son wasn't the only one she came to watch, though. She was also watching her husband and nephew compete. "These type of races, I actually get to enjoy myself. Normally, I'm working and scoring and checking in cars at the other tracks." At the end of the night, Tanner Thorsen was crowned the winner. Frank Galusha also earned the micro sprint cars title.
