The more than 400 drivers, in preparation for this event collectively spend over one hundred and fifty million dollars on buying and modifying their tractors. Over the weekend event officials expect to see more than 8,000 people from across the country come to watch the races in three separate events last Friday and Saturday. "The town really steps up, you can go uptown and every business is trying to help every puller and every fan to have a good time." Over the years the tractor pull has been in Wisner, it has had a history if impacting the community by more than tripling its population over the weekend and providing more opportunities for local food and drink vendors. The winner of each event receives a prize of one hundred and eleven thousand dollars presented to the winners of each event on Saturday.
