NEBRASKA CITY – Spring is coming just in time for Arbor Day.
Plenty of sunshine and 72 degrees is forecast for the commemorative tree planting on Friday at 4:30 p.m. at the Steinhart Park Aquatic Center. The event recognizes Arbor Day honoree Jack Haupt and the tree planter of the year Steven Stukenholtz.
The Arbor Day Run starts at the Old Stone Cabin in Steinhart Park on Saturday. The day’s low temperature of 39 degrees is
forecast at 7:30 a.m.
It will be sunny and 57 degrees for the Pollinator Playground ribbon cutting at Kimmel Orchard at 10:30 a.m. Heisman Trophy winner Eric Crouch is scheduled to attend.
The Arbor Day Market is scheduled at the Eagles Club and a craft and vendor fair is a American National Bank.
