LINCOLN — Two “persons of interest” in the disappearance of a 24-year-old Lincoln woman have been brought back to Nebraska after spending the night in a southwest Missouri jail.
Bailey Boswell, 23, and Aubrey Trail, 51, both of Wilber, Nebraska, were back in Wilber in the Saline County Jail on Friday afternoon. They had been held Thursday night in the Taney County Jail, which is in the Branson area of Missouri. Federal holds had been placed on both of them.
They are considered persons of interest in the disappearance of Sydney Loofe, who has been missing since mid-November. Loofe’s last known activity was going on a date with Boswell, whom she had met online.
Boswell has confirmed via a social media post that she went on a date with Loofe before Loofe disappeared.
Loofe last was seen in Wilber, about 40 miles south of Lincoln in Saline County. Police say the circumstances surrounding her disappearance are concerning.
Police were busy in the area of Wilber on Friday and the Nebraska State Patrol said its helicopter was in use around the town.
Officials have asked anyone with information about Loofe's disappearance to call the FBI at 402-493-8688 and select option 1.
An FBI spokesman emphasized the value of help from the public.
“That is something that we are really trying to push,” said Huston Pullen. “We are still hopeful that we will be able to recover Sydney and bring her home to her family.”
Trail and Boswell posted at least three videos online talking about Loofe.
A warrant was issued for Trail in Saline County charging him with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Boswell was being sought on a warrant out of Lincoln charging her with failure to appear in court related to possession of an ounce or less of marijuana and use/possession of drug paraphernalia.
