LINCOLN, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Source) – Lincoln Police said one person was stabbed in the chest outside an apartment near the state capitol building on Wednesday morning.
LPD said it happened around 2 a.m. near 17th & E Streets.
Lincoln police said a witness reported Mehdi Darvishi, 32, was standing outside when the victim and a friend parked their car.
Darvishi became verbal with them, police said, and began to chase after the victim with a knife.
The victim retreated but Darvishi chased him and stabbed him.
He was arrested for first-degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony.
