The Nebraska Department of Transportation knows winter time is their most important time of the year, to keep Nebraskans safe. NDOT Director Kyle Schneweis, Jim Laughlin, Highway Maintenance Superintendent at District 2, and Carlos Campa, Highway Maintenance Superintendent at District 6, sat down in early December to talk about preparations needed for winter weather. The three NDOT veterans discuss how difficult of a job it is, for snow plow workers to keep Nebraska's highways clean and safe for motorists. Winter weather appears like it will be striking again on Wednesday evening, which will most likely impact a large portion of Nebraska's highways. Driving could become difficult for motorists with the potential for heavy blowing snow Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Find out more  in the NDOT Winter Operations Podcast above.
