DEWEESE, NE (KRVN) – A Clay County man was found dead in a Nuckolls County field after an apparent run-in with a bull.
Tuesday evening at around 7 o’clock the Nuckolls County Sheriffs office responded to a call near Road Z in Nuckolls County.
Once at the scene a deputy was met by a girlfriend of a subject who reported finding her boyfriend in a field after he failed to return home from checking cows.
The deputy determined the 40-year old man from Fairfield was deceased.
From an investigation on scene, it was determined the man was in a field with cows and a bull.
At some point, the bull attacked the man and was unable to escape.
