COLUMBUS – Scotus’ Logan Mueller is going to be moving on from high school to play collegiate baseball at Buena Vista.
The Senior signed his letter of intent Wednesday morning, to play infield for the university in Storm Lake, Iowa. Mueller says BVU was the first school to look at him when he began the recruiting process, and says since then he knew it was the perfect fit.
“They treated me like family. They were the first school to look at me. When I went there, I realized they are a great academic institution and that they really support there athletics, so I knew it was the school for me,” says Mueller.
Columbus High Head Coach Jimmy Johnson says Mueller is going to be a key component of the Discoverer infield this upcoming season, in addition to a leader at the plate.
“He loves the sport, puts the time in outside of practice, to work on some of the details. I’ve been around him and met him his Freshman year, and he’s had this as a goal to play at the next level since then, and I’m happy to see him achieve that,” says Johnson.
Mueller says he plans on studying business in college, and currently hopes to work in the agricultural business industry after graduation.
