LINCOLN, NE (KETV Omaha) – A man reportedly assaulted his brother Wednesday at their Lincoln apartment over ownership of some cats.
Lincoln Police officers were called Wednesday morning to a disturbance where the victim said his brother was destroying items in an apartment.
Police arrived and could see the victim bleeding from his mouth and nose.
Officials say 39-year old Kambiz Amjad kept officers from entering and began to barricade the door.
Police arrested Amjad and say the fight started over who owned several cats in the apartment.
Police say Amjad punched the victim several times and hit him in the head with a lamp.
Amjad was arrested for second-degree assault and resisting arrest.
