Beatrice tight end Cameron Jurgens is currently the only Nebraska commit or signee in the final 247Sports rankings for the 2018 class.

Jurgens checked in at No. 123 nationally, which was 10 spots down from his previous ranking. He’s the highest-ranked recruit from the state of Nebraska since 247Sports began ranking prospects in the 2010 class. He’s also the No. 6 tight end nationally.

Jurgens signed with the Huskers in December, making official a commitment he made the summer before his sophomore year of high school. Jurgens was also a member of the 2017 All-Nebraska football team, The World-Herald’s Super Six and was named the boys high school athlete of the year in 2017.

Jurgens is one of three four-star prospects — according to the 247Sports rankings — in Nebraska’s 2018 class. He’s joined by signees DE Tate Wildeman (No. 257 overall) and QB Adrian Martinez (No. 267).

Nebraska could finish with more by signing day on Feb. 7. The Huskers have several notable targets that appear in the final 247Sports rankings:

No. 76 DT Michael Thompson, No. 98 WR Jacob Copeland, No. 127 OLB Javontae Jean-Baptiste, No. 186 WR Isaah Crocker, No. 200 CB Taiyon Palmer, No. 210 WR Chris Olave, No. 232 S Cam’ron Jones.

Of that group, Nebraska has hosted Jean-Baptiste, Crocker, Palmer and Jones on official visits. Jean-Baptiste and Palmer made official visits last weekend. Jones took his in December (though he came back last weekend for an unofficial), and Crocker came to Lincoln during the season but remains a target of the new coaching staff.

Nebraska also had five former commits appear in the 247 rankings: No. 46 Brendan Radley-Hiles (Oklahoma), No. 147 Joshua Moore (uncommitted), No. 159 Chase Williams (USC), No. 160 Mario Goodrich (uncommitted) and No. 224 Cameron Brown (Ohio State).
