OMAHA, NE (WOWT 6 News) – Bond is set for a daycare owner charged with child abuse.
44-year-old Catarina Lopez appeared in court Thursday accused of causing injuries to a 16-month-old in her care. The child was brought to the hospital with a dislocated shoulder.
Lopez operates an in-home daycare in Omaha. She was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
According to court documents, in January, police were called to Children’s Hospital in Omaha to investigate quote “suspicious injuries” to a child including a fracture and several bruises.
Bond was set at one hundred thousand dollars. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 15th.
