SEWARD - The Columbus High boys cross country team qualified for the state tournament after placing 2nd at Districts, with the girls finishing 5th. Columbus High's Henry Adabo finished in 4th and Lucas Miller finished 11th, to mark the top 2 finishes for Columbus. The team took second overall, finishing just behind Aurora, and edging out York. "The boys competed really well today  They showed how much you need the team as Antonio Jimenez and Douglas Davidchik played key roles running #3 and #4 for us today finishing 13th and 17th," says CHS Head Coach Dave Licari. Licari says the meet is run at Concordia University, which is very challenging, and made more difficult by the wet conditions. "Henry has continued to run really well as he has finished in the top 5 of every meet this season." The Girls came in fifth place overall, falling behind York, Beatrice, Norris, and Aurora. "We were pleased with the girls team finish as 5th place in a very tough district was good for us," says Licari. District results - 2017
