Broken Bow Wins 2OT Thriller Over Boone Central/Newman Grove

LINCOLN, Neb. – Broken Bow came through in double overtime for their first state tournament win in 30 years.

Broken Bow beat Boone Central/Newman Grove 66-64 in 2OT in the first round of the Class C1 State Tournament in Lincoln.

BC/NG had chances to win at the end of regulation and both overtimes, but could not find the bottom of the net. In the second OT, Padyn Borders made several clutch plays to pull the Indians ahead.

Borders finished with 22 points.

Jessie Sullivan led the Cardinals with 19 points in the loss.

This is the first state tournament win for Broken Bow since 1988.
