COVID-19 Changes & Cancellations

Many area businesses are operating under new circumstances, postponing events or closing temporarily as the CDC and State of Nebraska limit gatherings & request the public’s help to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus through social distancing.

 

The following businesses have made modifications to their operations:

Dodge County Courthouse/County Offices – the Dodge County Treasurers Office will temporarily close to public walk-ins starting Thursday, March 19th, and will begin taking appointments for necessary in-person business.  This will remain in effect through April 3rd, but is subject to change.  This may also affect the Drivers License Examiners office, so you may want to call before coming to the courthouse. To make an appointment, or if you need assistance arranging your payment, please call 402-727-2750.

Catholic Church Services – Effective immediately, all public Masses and communal celebration of the Sacraments or other liturgies are indefinitely suspended in the archdiocese for all area Catholic Churches.

Trinity Lutheran services and activities are also cancelled until further notice.

Fremont Presbyterian Church is limiting gatherings of 10 or more. That means that most events on the church campus will be cancelled effective today, March 17 through March 29. These dates are tentative and could be subject to change.

The following events are cancelled:

  • NO presbyKIDS and presbyYOUTH programs / activities through March 29
  • NO Lenten services or small group meeting for Wednesdays through March 29
  • NO Sunday Worship Services through March 29. Sermons will be available online or through Facebook. For this Sunday, March 22 – watch Rev. Bill Bowers at 9:00 a.m.
  • No Bible Study Fellowship meeting through March 29
  • No Deacons or Session meetings on Tuesday, March 24.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church – Will not gather in person until further notice, including worship services, Bible studies, meetings and other small group gatherings.  This will be replaced by online worship at www.gslcfremont.org. 5:45 p.m. on Saturdays, at 10:15 a.m. on Sundays, and 7:00 p.m. Wednesday nights during the season of Lent.

All-Stor Self Storage and Borisow Properties (same office)  – They’ve made a drive up window for paying rent on houses, apartments, and storage and even renting storage units. The inside office will be closed to customers until further notice. Will stay open normal business hours

Arlington Casey’s General Store – Adjustment in hours of operation.  5am-8pm

Burt County Cattlemen – Ladies night out cancelled for March 28th

Goodwill Stores  – Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Stores in Omaha, Blair, Gretna, Papillion, Bellevue and Council Bluffs are also open these same hours.

Bath and Body Works in the Fremont Mall has closed indefinitely.

Burger King, Taco John’s, McDonalds (Fremont locations) – All drive-thrus open; drive thru only.

Don Peterson and Associates – Land Auction for Saturday April 4th in Wahoo has been postponed.

Eternal Tattoo (Fremont) – Lobby closed to the public. Entrance by appointment only. No support persons or children allowed in the shop during your appointment. No piercings on minors under 14. You will be asked to leave if you show any signs of any illness, including what may be seasonal allergies. Message Eternal Tattoo on Facebook or email [email protected] for all tattoo consults. Call (402) 816-4270 for entrance to the shop for your previously booked appointments.

First State Bank – Walmart branch temporarily closed; all other branches open for full service.

Fia and Belle – Closed for the next two weeks. Still accepting online orders and pick up in store, to be picked up at the door.

Fremont Area Art Association – The Gallery will be closed indefinitely and, until further notice, all events and activities are canceled.  Reschedule dates will be shared when determined.

Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce – March 20th Ribbon Cutting at Fremont Auto Center is now a VIRTUAL event.  Tune in to the Fremont Area Chamber Facebook page at 9:30am to watch and welcome the Fremont Auto team to our community!

March 24th Excellence in Agriculture Awards Luncheon – Postponed until August

March 25th Farm Family Feud – Postponed until August

Fremont Dental Group – Closed through 4/1

Fremont Habitat for Humanity – Construction – cancelled for this week; assessing from week to week.

Habitat HomeStore – CLOSED at this time until further notice; no pickups or donation drop-offs.

Mr. & Mrs. Habitat Pageant – POSTPONED – hoping to reschedule in September.

Habitat office – open currently, but re-evaluating daily.

Fremont HyVee – Reduced hours. Now 8AM to 8PM until further notice.

Fremont Family YMCA – Closing at 6PM on Tuesday, 3/17 until further notice. Daycare still operating. See here for details.

Fremont Friendship Center – Closed indefinitely

Fremont Mall – Numerous stores have reduced hours. See the Mall’s facebook page for the most current information.

Keene Memorial Library – Closed indefinitely. Will offer curbside pickups beginning Thursday, March 19th from 10 am – 4 pm, Monday through Friday until the library reopens. (Details here.)

Don Peterson and Associates– Land auction for Saturday April 4th in Wahoo has been postponed to a future date.

Lincoln Federal Savings Bank – Now offering all bank services through the drive-thru indefinitely in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Customers can call the branch at 402-721-8696 for any questions or concerns.  Regular business hours are still being observed, M-F 8:30 -5:00 and 9:00 -12:00 Saturday.

Mainstreet Theater 7 (Fremont Mall) – Closed until further notice

North Bend Mini Mart – Beginning Wednesday, March 19th, the store hours will be Monday through Friday 6:30 a.m. – 6.30 p.m. Saturday 7 a.m . – 5 p.m. Sunday 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. This will continue until further notice. Sundays, shopping by appointment will be available 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. for individuals who feel they might be a high risk case (age or health concerns) and would like to shop without a crowd. North Bend Blessings Food Pantry – For North Bend residents: If you need things from the pantry, send your list to blessingspan[email protected]. Include both your last name & your phone number. Lists need to be in by Wednesdays at 6 pm. Pickup will be on Thursdays from 3 to 5. A healthy worker will take your name, retrieve your box & place it into your trunk.

Planet Fitness Fremont – This Planet Fitness will be temporarily closed effective Wednesday, March 18th at 10PM. Members will be credited for closed days on their next monthly bill. Planet Fitness Fremont will offer Facebook Live 20 minute at-home workouts open to anyone, with no equipment needed

Raising Canes- Drive Thru Hours are Monday through Sunday from 10am to 10pm.  Takeout is available Monday through Sunday from 10am to 9pm.  Delivery is not available.  Located at 1058 E 23rd St. Fremont. Their menu can be found at https://www.raisingcanes.com

Saunders County – All Saunders county offices urge mail or online services at this time.  If there are more than 10 people in the office you need at the time of your arrival, you’re asked to leave and return later. Use the website at https://saunderscounty.ne.gov/ to find the phone number for the office you need. (See the full notice.)

San Anna Pizza and Mexican- Hours of operation will be Monday through Thursday 11am-2pm dine in and to go.  4pm-8:30pm dine in, to go and delivery.  Friday and Saturday-11am-2pm dine in and to go.  4pm-9:30pm to go and delivery and Sunday- 4pm-8:30pm dine in, to go and delivery (when a driver is available).  1945 E Military Ave Fremont.
