Funeral services for Calvin “Hap” Jones, age 84, of Thedford, will be held Monday March 22, 2010 at 11:00 AM in the United Church of Christ in Thedford, NE with Reverends Tim Pearson and Lee Wonch officiating.  Masonic Rites by Seneca Masonic Lodge #281 will also be held at the church.   Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery at Thedford.  Visitation will be held Sunday March 21, 2010 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Govier Bros. Mortuary in Broken Bow and Monday morning 9:00 AM until service time at the church. Memorials have been established to the Masonic Lodge #281, The Thomas County Historical Society, or the Sandhills Community Church. 
 
 
Calvin E. “Hap” Jones was born May 27, 1925 at Kearney, NE to Herman “Casey” and Ottillia (Yohn) Jones.  He was married to Audrey McCaslin at Merna, NE on September 14, 1952.
 
Hap is survived by his wife Audrey of Thedford, three sons, Jay Jones of Thedford, Randy (Melanie) Jones of Omaha, Dallas (Tish) Jones of Lincoln, and a daughter Melanie (Freddy) Meijering of Carlton, TX, thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a sister in law Roviene Jones.
