Husker Bowlers Finish 2nd

The Nebraska Cornhuskers bowling team is once again one of the best in the nation.  The Huskers bested all of their the competition at the National Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana until they ran into McKendree University of the finals.  

McKendree earned a sweep in the finals, defeating the Huskers 4-0.  However, the Huskers had been through an emotional tournament with come-from-behind victories and controversial rules violations that surely weighed down their championship match performance.  

Julia Bond, the Huskers premier bowler, was named first team All-American and Bill Straub, the Huskers head coach, was named NTCA Coach of the Year.
