Three People Transferred forTreatment Following Two-Car Accident on Wednesday

Two vehicles collided at the intersection of Highways 2 and 21 in  downtown Broken Bow on Wednesday afternoon. The accident took place at the stop light intersection at approximately 4:35 p.m. Cassandra Kofoid, age 29 of Arcadia, was driving a 2006 Jeep east on Highway 2  along with six passengers. Joel Hodgson, age 28 from Lexington, was turning south on Highway 21 in a 2003 Chevy pickup when the collision took place. The Broken Bow Police Department were on the scene and are still investigating the cause of the accident. Broken Bow Fire and Rescue transferred three passengers from the Jeep to the Jennie Melham Medical Clinic for observation and treatment of minor injures.
