Early morning fire damages a Merna home and its contents Feb 10th

An early morning fire Friday, February 10th damaged a Merna home and its contents. Anselmo/Merna Fire and Rescue responded to the call at 2:37 am at 335 Brotherton Avenue. Tammy Lefever reported that the roof was on fire. The volunteers were able to put out the fire and returned to the fire station at 4:12 am. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
