One man sentenced to jail, Custer County District Court February 9th

Travis Brdar, 37 of Sterling, Colorado, appeared for arraignment on Thursday. County Attorney Steven Bowers stated that they are working on an agreement with Brdar. Brdar faces a charge of theft, a class IIA felony. In his case, it involves property valued at more than $5,000. Brdar pled not guilty, and faces a 20 year max sentence if convicted. His next day in court was set for March 2nd.

Eric Kaslon, 28 of Mason City, also appeared for arraignment and ended up proceeding to sentencing as well. An agreement was made with the state in his case. In exchange for a guilty or no contest plea to count one, possession of a controlled substance, a class IV felonly, his other count would be dismissed. Kaslon’s attorney and the state had a joint recommendation of 18 months incarceration to be concurrent with his Kearney County case. He would also be given credit for 41 days served. Following his plea, Kaslon was sentenced to the 18 months incarceration.

Skyler Linn appeared in court as well, after his name was added to the schedule after it was first released on February 3rd. He appeared on a violation of probation hearing. It is alleged that Linn violated condition one of his probation when he was arrested for domestic assault. Linn was appointed an attorney, and his hearing to admit or deny was set for March 23rd.
