2017 Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop will be held In Broken Bow February 21-23rd

For the first time the Nebraska Tourism Commission is holding a Agri/Eco-Tourism Workshop in a community not adjacent to Interstate 80. The workshop is titled "Brewing Up Business, Your Resource Marketplace" and will be held in Broken Bow February 21st through the 23rd. Most of the activities will be held at the One Box Convention Center and at Kinkaider Brewing Company. There also are tours of the area planned and an event for vendors called "Taste and Feel of Nebraska". Business booths will be on hand at the Convention Center as well.

Karen Kollers is a consultant with the Nebraska Tourism Commission and spoke with KCNI/KBBN News to promote the event. Ms. Kollers said the workshop is being held to provide information to farmers, ranchers, and land owners on how they can open up their property to different types of tourism for extra income. Kollers noted the beauty of Agri-Tourism is its flexibly. Operators may want to open their land up a few months or all year and can focus on a wide variety of activities for people to enjoy.
